Choosing the Fullness
Boa fullness is commonly described by ply. A higher ply generally means more feather material and a fuller appearance. When comparing options, check the ply and finished length shown on the individual product page rather than choosing by photos alone.
Choosing the Length
Check the listed finished length before ordering. A longer boa gives more material for draping or styling, while a shorter boa can be easier to manage for smaller costume details and accessories.

Color and Custom Dyeing
Many Viva Feathers boas are available in multiple colors. Use our Custom Feather Color Chart as a starting point. Natural feather material and dye lots can vary slightly, and screen colors may not match the finished feathers exactly.
If you need to coordinate a boa with a costume, fabric or other feather product, send us a clear reference before ordering.
After Shipping
Feathers can look compressed after packing. Gently shake the boa and leave it in a clean, dry area so the feathers can relax. Avoid storing it under heavy objects or tightly compressed for long periods.
If needed, use only cool, low airflow from a hairdryer at a safe distance. Keep the airflow moving and avoid high heat. Do not soak or wash the boa unless the specific product instructions say it is safe.
