Choosing a feather fan is mainly about four things: how many fans you need, how easy they are to control, how much coverage and fullness you want, and the size that fits your use.

1. One Fan or a Pair?
One fan means one feather fan. A pair means two fans, usually one for each hand. Always check the product title and options before ordering.

2. Choose by Layer Count
Single-layer fans are the lightest and are a practical starting point for learning control. 2-layer fans add fullness and coverage. 3-layer and 4-layer fans create a fuller visual effect but are heavier to hold and move.

3. Choose the Size
Fan dimensions normally describe the approximate height from the lower end of the stave to the feather tip and the approximate width when opened. Larger fans generally provide more visual coverage but can require more strength and space to control.
If you are new to feather fans, a smaller or lighter style is usually easier to learn with than an XL or very full fan.
4. Decide How Much Fullness You Want

5. Choose Your Color
